What is a list serve?

The list serve is a giant mailing list where moderators will post important information relative to the list serve topic.

How is this list serve different than the "message board"?

This is not a discussion forum.  As a member of this list serve, you will not be able to reply back and post messages to the entire group.  Only the moderators will post.  If you wish to join a discussion forum, go to the message board where you can post a message about a topic and you can set your preferences where you can receive email replies to that topic if you wish.
